De-Constructing Reproductive Medicine for the 21st Century:

Tools for Growing Your Practice

Course Chair/Moderator:  Robert Boostanfar, MD

DESCRIPTION

An interactive session between a panel of experienced physicians and the attendees that explores means to maximize the efficiency of the RE practice and also to potentially expand services.

The RE needs to look at the practice and critically analyze what services can be improved and what services can be brought back into the clinic and not outsourced.

With the economy slowing down it will be interesting to see if and how different RE’s are willing to share how they can re-capture services referred out.

DISCUSSION ITEMS

This course is designed as an open discussion to provide the participants with information regarding:

The integration of ancillary services into the RE practice: expansion of endocrine testing, legitimate immunology  testing and bringing in ID testing, genetics counseling, egg donor services, accupunture, etc.. (Basically minimizing the outsourcing of RE services) This is a big topic and with the economy slowing down it would be nice to see how different RE’s are willing to share how they can re-capture services referred out.

Marketing to the referring physician and to patients

Minimizing cost structures for the practice and maximizing output: nursing, embryology and andrology staffing.

Role of the internet and how to maximize growth opportunities for the practice

Insurance carriers; how to maximize payments and minimize write offs

Relationships with the industry to help access to ART for patients
