FOR ABSTRACT
PREPARATION
AND SUBMISSION

REQUIREMENTS
Abstracts must be submitted
on-line and received no later than December 12, 2006. Late submissions
will not be accepted.
Once your abstract has been submitted on-line,
you should receive an automated e-mail response acknowledging
receipt. If you do not, please contact the Society office immediately.

Notification of acceptance or rejection of all
abstracts will be by return e-mail message beginning January
1, 2007. If you have any questions regarding abstract submission,

Abstracts must adequately describe the research
performed so that the Program Committee can evaluate the quality,
originality, and completeness of the work. Only structured abstracts
with the following headings can be submitted:
• Background: A
briefly worded description of the reasons for the study.
• Objective: An
introductory sentence indicating the objective and purpose of
the study.
• Materials
and Methods: A description of experimental
procedures including applicable statistical evaluation.
• Result(s): A
summary of the new previously unpublished data and results.
• Conclusion(s): A
statement of the conclusion(s).
- If your abstract includes tables and/or scientific symbols
please send a copy of your abstract to naomi@pcrsonline.org
as a hard copy backup. For this purpose only, please use the
following format in MS Word and send as an e-mail attachment:
- The abstract must be typed (Note: Font should be Times/Times
Roman, 10 pt.), confine body of abstract to 350 words, single-spaced,
with the title of the paper in bold, and flush with the left
margin.
- Following the title, the presenting author’s name must
be listed first, followed by additional authors’ names
listed consecutively, with two initials first (if applicable),
and surnames last. Institutional affiliations (including the
city and two-letter state abbreviation or province, and country)
should follow the list of authors.
- If there are multiple authors located in different departments
and/or institutions, their department and institution must
be identified with a superscript letter or number following
the author’s name, and identified preceding the institution’s
name. Academic degrees should be omitted. See
Following Example.

- All abstracts submitted must contain original work not published
previously nor presented at a meeting of a national or international
scientific organization prior to the PCRS 2008 Annual Meeting.
- All sources of support for the research must be identified
in the abstract as well as in the disclosure box in the database.

- Abstracts not selected for oral presentation will automatically
be considered for poster presentation. If
your abstract is selected for a different presentation format
(oral or poster) than you requested, you may withdraw your
abstract if you choose.
- Each oral presentation will be 10 minutes in length, followed
by 5 minutes of discussion.
- All selected abstracts are published in the PCRS Fertility
and Sterility Abstract Supplement (April issue) and in the
publication library at pcrsonline.org.
- Papers selected for oral presentation at the meeting are
also eligible for consideration for publication in the PCRS
Section of the January or February 2009 issue of Fertility
and Sterility.
- PCRS is not responsible for any expenses associated with
presentation of your abstract or attendance at the meeting.
- It is the responsibility
of the principal author to:
- Ensure the abstract conforms to all of the Society’s
submission instructions.
- Verify co-author(s) has/have consented to be included
on the abstract.
- Provide disclosure documentation for each author, via
the database.
- Receive the initial notification from the Society
office regarding acceptance or rejection of the abstract.
