Session Description:

The goal of the lecture is to review basic genetics concepts that are important in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. A “genetics refresher” will help solidify a necessary background knowledge base. Additional time will be dedicated to more in-depth exploration of: meiosis, genetic disorders affecting reproduction, balanced translocations and inversions, PGT genetic testing techniques and platforms, PGT-M, PGT-SR, PGT-A, and mosaicism.

Session Objectives:

  1. Describe genetic concepts relevant to reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
  2. Compare various preimplantation genetic testing techniques and platforms.
  3. Describe how to manage complex PGT-M, PGT-SR, and PGT-A patient cases.
